Is God going to judge America?
In light of all the recent news about homosexual marriage I have decided to post a note that I wrote awhile ago on Facebook. It’s not specifically about homosexual marriage but it does mention homosexuality and the reason behind some of it. So without further ado…
God is already judging America! I hear often that God is going to judge America but I contend He already is judging this nation. I have two reasons this is true.
1. Go to the church right around the corner from your house and listen to the heresy that is taught. I can about guarantee you can throw a rock and hit about 2 or 3 heretical “churches.” Just go and listen to everything the pastor says. Most likely he, or in a lot of cases she will preach anything and everything but the truth. You will be hard pressed to find one church that faithfully goes verse by verse and actually exegetes the scriptures, without skipping things that may hurt people’s feelings. This is one way God sends judgment on a nation, just read the Old Testament for many examples.
2. Romans 1 says that the wrath of God “is revealed from Heaven” meaning it is presently revealed from Heaven. Then Paul describes how and why God’s wrath is being revealed. First, why? Because when they knew God they glorified Him not as God but worshipped the creature instead of the Creator. So God gave them over to their reprobate minds, which is the how. He gave them over to their sinful passions, which included homosexual acts. A lot of people teach that homosexuality was why God judged in Romans 1 but this is not the case. Homosexuality was the judgment in Romans 1. Because they worshipped the creature, God gave them over to reprobate minds.
As I have just told a couple of brothers, there is another flood coming and this time its not water but fire. The time is short, preach the gospel and please pray for repentance to come to our nation!
